The world of books and journalism
If you were stranded on a desert island, what book would you bring?
It’s a question posed every week on Radio 4, and it’s also a question posed at regular themed events at Redland Library.
The next Desert Island Books at the Whiteladies Road library will have the theme of journalism, with a panel of industry experts introducing one book about journalism that has inspired them and one ‘wildcard’.
is needed now More than ever
The panel is comprised of Bristol24/7 Editor Martin Booth; Bristol Post editor Mike Norton; and Phil Chamberlain, head of UWE’s School of Film & Journalism.
The event – organised by voluntary group The Friends of Redland Library – takes place at Redland Library at 7pm on Tuesday, February 20. Admission is £3.
