Devon/Dorset soundsystem Korridor Kru team up with garage/jungle label for a night of soundsystem music
Soundsystem culture has always been central to not only Bristol nightlife, but Bristol itself. From the thriving reggae and dub scene in the mid 20th century, to the jungle and drum and bass of the 90s, the city has always been a hub for the flourishing of people coming together to celebrate sound.
Korridor Kru are a soundsystem and events promoters from the Devon/Dorset border. After multiple solo outings under their “Chronicles” events series that began back in August of last year, they’ve also had multiple successful collaborative nights with fellow South Western soundsystem collective The Stomp Project.

This time around, they’ve decided to pair with Scared Money, a relatively new addition to the jungle scene in Bristol, but not one that’s gone unnoticed. Run by garage/jungle producer Iller Instinct, it’s already become a staple for Bristol jungle, with two vinyl releases under their belt in a little over 9 months.
The collaborative night sees the tunnels of Basement 45 on Frogmore Street as the stage, with Korridor hosting the main room with jungle on their own system, and Scared Money holding down room two with garage, breaks and bassline, powered by Turbosound.
In terms of headliners, it’s looking to be a busy night for headliner, Dwarde. Not only is the jungle producer/DJ headlining room one, but also room two under his garage alias Highrise. The rest of the bill backs a showcase of some exciting emerging Bristol talent, with rising jungle label Omerta Records hosting a takeover, and rising garage producer Longeez playing room two.
The night is scheduled for this Saturday, April 23, and tickets can be purchased here.
