Bristol Comedy Garden: 2016 dates and lineup

By Alison Maney  Tuesday Apr 5, 2016

Bristol Comedy Garden will return to Queen Square for its fifth year from June 28-July 3, the festival announced on Tuesday.

The event also announced its 2016 lineup, which will include Stewart Lee, Katherine Ryan (pictured above), Reginald D. Hunter and Bridget Christie performing in the Comedy Garden’s signature Big Top and Apple Top venues.

Other acts include one-liner king Milton Jones, the award-winning David O’Doherty and Adam Buxton’s BUG: David Bowie Special, an ode to Bowie’s most memorable music videos.

Bars, live music and innovative street food vendors will also add to the square’s festive chaos as they cater to the event’s thousands of comedy fans.

“We’re over the moon to be invited back to Queen Square,” says Comedy Garden producer Cass Briggs. “It’s the perfect setting for the Comedy Garden and we can’t wait to get back to Bristol with this year’s line up. We’ve had so many lovely experiences in Bristol and it’s always a joy when it comes together after all the months of planning.

“I’m really looking forward to acts like Bridget Christie and John Kearns that we haven’t had before, plus Adam Buxton’s David Bowie special is set to be a highlight of the summer.”

Tickets are now on sale, starting at £16.50.
