First look at series two of The Outlaws
Those who may have spent the first series pointing out classic Bristol landmarks in the first season of The Outlaws – such as the Wills Memorial building, Stokes Croft and St Nick’s Market – will be happy to hear that the show’s second series promises plenty more familiar places.
The Outlaws, written by Hanham-born Stephen Merchant, is a comedy thriller following seven strangers from different walks of life forced together to complete a Community Payback sentence in Bristol.
Following on from the first series, the main characters still have time to serve on their sentences – but now they must face the fallout from their actions.

The second series will see the return of a stellar cast including Academy Award-winning actor Christopher Walken, alongside writer and star Merchant, with Rhianne Barreto, Gamba Cole, Darren Boyd, Clare Perkins, Eleanor Thomlinson and Jessica Gunning to name a few.

Speaking about the location choice of Bristol last year, Stephen Merchant noted how the city “still hasn’t played itself on screen very often. It’s used mainly for period pieces or doubling as somewhere else. So it’s fun to try and make the city a character in the show.”
The Outlaws season two premiers on BBC One and Amazon Prime at the beginning of June.
