Jayde Adams set to perform four homecoming shows at Bristol Old Vic
Fresh from her numerous TV appearances, including The Outlaws (BBC One), Neil Gaiman’s Good Omens (Amazon Prime), Strictly Come Dancing (BBC One) and the Bafta-winning Alma’s Not Normal (BBC Two), Jayde Adams has returned to her home city, and Bristol is delighted to have her back.
As well as making a documentary for the series We Are England (BBC One) in which she retraced her Bedminster roots, she has recently been spotted with co-star Joe Sims filming her upcoming ITVX sitcom, Ruby Speaking, on the characteristically steep streets of Totterdown.
In an extended UK tour spanning four months, Bristol24/7’s person of the year will be performing the first two of four homecoming stand-up shows at Bristol Old Vic on April 2, with another two now added on June 25.

Her new solo show, Men: I Can Save You follows the sell-out success of its acclaimed predecessor, The Ballad of Kylie Jenner’s Old Face, which went on to become the Amazon Prime stand-up special Serious Black Jumper – a show that was released worldwide and subsequently went viral on TikTok, clocking up 150 million views.
Adams pledges to “showcase her intelligent working-class voice” as she leads men into “the new world” of inclusive feminism which she has championed throughout her writing and performance to date.
Men: I Can Save You is replete with what she deems the best way to salvation: “sharp humour and telling it like it is”.
