The Super Mario Bros. Movie continued its total domination of the UK box office at the weekend, with the strongest rival new release, Renfield, only just crawling into the top five. This horror-comedy Dracula variation with Nicolas Cage as the toothy bloodsucker and Nicholas Hoult as his long-suffering servant enjoyed generally positive reviews but opened just ahead of niche anime flick Suzume. Dungeons and Dragons: Honour Among Thieves topped £10m after three weeks on release, while John Wick: Chapter 4 is on a franchise best £14.9m. Loser of the weekend was trashy hitman flick Assassin Club, which took a pitiful £43,000 nationwide.
