Chart copyright Comscore

Reigning champ The Super Mario Bros. Movie held off the challenge from Evil Dead Rise, which demonstrated that there’s life in those deadites yet by becoming the highest charting new release in second place. That’s a particularly good showing for an 18-rated film. There was comparatively little interest in online thriller Missing, a sequel to 2018’s Searching, which failed to make the top five. At the foot of the chart, stylish French blockbuster The Three Musketeers: D’Artagnan won’t be breaking any records here but performed well enough to seize tenth place.
