Chart copyright Comscore

Barbie is now officially the eighth highest grossing film of all time in the UK, having overtaken the likes of Titanic and the more recent Top Gun: Maverick. Christopher Nolan’s Oppenheimer remained in second place after five weeks on release and has now crossed the £50m mark. Yet another bug-oriented superhero movie, DC’s Blue Beetle had to settle for third place, its £1.9m haul being rather low by recent DC standards. The only other new entry was talking dog comedy Strays at number five. There was little movement elsewhere in the chart, though sports drama Gran Turismo: Based on a True Story tumbled all the way from fourth to tenth place.
