With more cinemas re-opening, Russell Crowe road rage thriller Unhinged regained the top spot over the weekend. By now, this will have become the first post-lockdown release to take more than £1m. That would have been small beer back at the start of the year, but at least takings are up dramatically week-on-week as cinemas prepare for their big test: the release today (Wednesday 26 August) of Christopher Nolan’s Tenet. Consequently, there was little change in the chart, with the reissue of the original Karate Kid becoming the sole new entry as family films continue to do a moderately roaring trade.
