Ridley Scott’s Napoleon comfortably secured a second week at number one, with no change in the top three films. If Ms. Beyonce was hoping for a Taylor Swift-style hit with her Renaissance concert film, she didn’t get it. This opened just ahead of violinist Andre Rieu’s latest concert film for his dedicated mature audience, White Christmas. Animal was this week’s Bollywood hit, while this week’s 20th anniversary reissue of a mediocre alleged ‘Christmas classic’ was Elf. That bagged eighth place, taking three times as much as last week’s Love Actually, which has now slipped back out of the top ten.
