No change at the top this week. Poorly received by critics, video game adaptation Uncharted continues to defy industry expectations by holding on to the top spot with only a minor decline in takings. After a fairly slow start, Sing 2 is riding the box office recovery wave and now seems likely to match or even exceed the performance of the first film. And Ken Branagh’s Death on the Nile comfortably held off the challenge from highest new entry, Dog, in third place. Elsewhere, Marry Me suffered a 52% drop in earnings after Valentine’s Day. How swiftly love dies, eh? At the foot of the chart, that other cinematic canine on general release, Clifford the Friendly Dog, celebrated half-term by bounding back into the top ten alongside Disney’s Encanto.
