Black Panther continues its impressive box office run, amassing nearly £30m in just two weeks. This already puts it ahead of the likes of Guardians of the Galaxy, and if the film carries on at this rate it could well topple some superhero records. Boosted by the release of a singalong version, the unstoppable The Greatest Showman climbed back to second place with a 3% rise in earnings, taking an extraordinary £2m in its ninth weekend on release. At this rate, it could yet claim the UK box office musical crown. Also enjoying a boost was Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri, whose takings rose by a whopping 24% following that big BAFTA win. And pipping I, Tonya in the new release stakes was Lady Bird. This one’s getting an expanded release from Friday. Locally, you can now see it at the Everyman, Cineworld Hengrove, Showcase Avonmeads and Vue cinemas.
