Wonka remains seemingly unstoppable at the top of the chart, notching up £56m in six weeks. But it faced a strong challenge this week from Greek director Yorgos Lanthimos’s Poor Things, which opened with an impressive £1.8m. Jason Statham action-thriller The Beekeeper was the only other entry in the top five, forcing Priscilla back into sixth place. George Clooney’s poorly received rowing drama, The Boys in the Boat, by contrast, was a bit of a flop, crawling in at the foot of the chart with takings of just £270,297.
