This week’s superhero blockbuster dislodges last week’s superhero blockbuster at the top of the chart, as The Flash sees off Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse. That said, Flash-man’s £4.3m opening is pretty feeble by what we’re expected to call ‘DC Extended Universe’ standards, suggesting that audiences may be getting all multiversed out. Greatest Days, the Take That musical we’ve all been waiting for, just scraped into the top five ahead of Hindi drama Adipurush. At the foot of the chart, The Super Mario Bros. Movie has finally run out of steam and is likely to have departed from the top ten next week, after 12 weeks on release. But it’s now overtaken Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 1 to claim 37th place in the UK’s all-time top 50.
