Was The Flash just an, ahem, Flash in the pan? After last week’s chart-topping opening, the latest DC superhero flick slipped back into second place behind previous number one Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse following a dramatic 59% drop in takings. Jennifer Lawrence vehicle No Hard Feelings was the highest new entry, just ahead of Wes Anderson’s eagerly anticipated Asteroid City, whose £1.2m opening puts it well ahead of Anderson’s previous film, The French Dispatch. Rounding out the top five, Disney’s The Little Mermaid remains the family film choice of the moment.
