Last week’s chart-topper Black Panther: Wakanda Forever dropped by around 50% over its second weekend, which is pretty much what you’d expect of a Marvel Cinematic Universe flick. Its £22.7m total is still very impressive, even if it’s now slightly behind the first film in the equivalent period. The Ralph Fiennes black comedy The Menu took a chunky bite out of the box office by landing in second place with nearly £1m. Award-winning potential Oscar contender Aftersun also enjoyed a strong start at number seven given that it’s showing in just 109 cinemas. At the foot of the chart, a brace of non-arthouse foreign language flicks are doing well with their niche audiences: Polish festive comedy Listy Do M. 5 and Indian action sequel Drishyam 2.
