The cinema recovery was hit by another sunny weekend, but Christopher Nolan’s Tenet still managed to add another £1.2million to its tally to secure a third week at the top. It was also a good weekend for films catering to bored teen and tweenie audiences. After We Collided, a sequel to a popular young adult romance adaptation that you could be forgiven for not having noticed if you’re older than 15, shot up the chart to second place in its second weekend on release. Also doing very well in the circumstances is Break the Silence – the latest tour doc by K-popsters BTK. Further down the chart, The New Mutants reached £1m after two weeks, while Onward finally crawled over £7m after 28 weeks. Formulaic romcom The Broken Hearts Gallery was the highest new entry, while Sally Potter’s The Roads Not Taken was – if you’ll forgive the Trumpism – the biggest loser. Who’d have predicted that punters wouldn’t flock to an Alzheimer’s drama in the current climate, eh?
