Carrie (1976) at Redcliffe Caves
Based on the first novel from the “King of Horror”, this adaptation of the Stephen King classic is screening in the caves underneath Bristol. Widely regarded as one of the greatest horror films ever made, Carrie has had a massive impact on popular culture and is a must-see around this time of year. A horrifying look at supernatural powers, high school cruelty and teen angst all while under the Earth’s surface? Count us in!

The Silence of the Lambs at Averys Wine Cellars

The Descent at Redcliffe Caves
Certainly not one for the claustrophobic, this British horror film follows a caving expedition gone wrong… which you will watch in a cave. The Descent follows a group of adrenaline-seeking friends descending into an unknown cave before a cave collapse seals them in with unknown humanoid creatures called ‘crawlers’. Will they all make it out alive? And more importantly, will you make it out of Redcliffe Caves without coming across a crawler? Who’s to say…

US at Arnos Vale Cemetery
A chilling tale of menacing and murderous doppelgängers on the loose around Santa Cruz, California this instant horror classic from Jordan Peele touches on the darker sides of the human condition and the American experience. Screening at Arnos Vale Cemetery, this is probably one of the most chilling locations to watch a horror film. Watch out as you leave the screening, you won’t want to be seeing double!

Twilight at The Mount Without
Okay, not necessarily a terrifying horror movie but it’s a modern cult classic that just has to be seen around Halloween. Featuring some of the glitteriest vampires in cinematic history, this film is perfect for anyone who wants to get into the spirit of spooky season but isn’t too great with horror films. Screening at The Mount Without, a gorgeously restored church in Cotham, this film showing above a crypt is the most apt location for a film about vampires!
