Creative lockdown: Ashley Boyd

By Lowie Trevena  Wednesday Apr 1, 2020

Ashley Boyd is part of the ongoing Bristol24/7 Creative Lockdown series, showcasing how people in Bristol have been getting arty under lockdown.

Ashley Boyd, who lives in Bedminster, has recorded 59 of his friends and family in a video made to “make people smile”.

The video, which depicts people dancing to Tim Halperin’s Dance, was put together through each person, or group, sending a clip of themselves dancing to Ashley, who then edited the video together.

“With everything going on at the moment I thought it would be nice to try and put something together to make people smile,” says Ashley, who works as an IT consultant.

“I asked friends and family to send me videos of them dancing and the response I received was amazing.”

40 of the people featured in the video are from Bristol, including Totterdown, Horfield, Hanham and Downend. Ashley also features, doing the running man.
