Creative lockdown: Elliot Courtiour
Elliot Courtiour is part of the ongoing Bristol24/7 Creative Lockdown series, showcasing how people in Bristol have been getting arty under lockdown.
Elliot Courtiour, who is studying filmmaking at UWE Bristol, has created a short film in response to the the coronavirus pandemic.
“I saw a lot of what filmmakers were making at the moment in response to coronavirus is quite depressing and I wanted to create something to enforce hope and unity in this really difficult time,” says the 21-year-old, who created the film as part of a university module.

Elliot completed all filming while abiding to government guidelines, filming over the course of a week and a half to ensure he stayed within the one hour exercise limit.

“I love film as a medium to make others feel things and carry powerful messages,” says Elliot. “I hope that people watch the film and are positively impacted by it in this tricky time.
“It feels really good to be able to make people feel at least a little bit comforted that there is hope.”
