Creative lockdown: Luke Cobham
Luke Cobham is part of the ongoing Bristol24/7 Creative Lockdown series, showcasing how people in Bristol have been getting arty under lockdown.
Luke Cobham, who works at the Exchange on Old Market Street, has been creating homemade versions of classic films during lockdown.
Luke, known as Mole, has been creating the short, offbeat videos with the help of his friends from across Bristol. In each video, he has also replaced one of the film’s key characters with a stuffed toy shark and sometimes changes the title to reference it.
is needed now More than ever
Sam Taylor, who lives in Shirehampton and plays Fabienne in Pulp Fi(n)ction and a fighter pilot in (F)Independence Day, says: “The films are keeping lots of us busy over the weekend filming and sending in our scenes and Mole then gets busy editing it all.
“He really has gone above and beyond in including people – and keeping us and our family and friends laughing – with what was a spontaneous idea a few weeks ago.”

Mole has so far remade Reservoir Dogs, Jurassic Park, Shaun of the Dead, Independence Day and Pulp Fiction. The next remake will be The Dark Knight.
“Mole and many of the cast live in Bristol but overall he has over 25 friends sending in clips from their homes and gardens across the UK and Europe,” says Sam. “The films have a somewhat Bristol creative vibe, which is great!”
