Creative lockdown: Rupert Ward-Lewis

By Lowie Trevena  Friday Apr 17, 2020

Rupert Ward-Lewis is part of the ongoing Bristol24/7 Creative Lockdown series, showcasing how people in Bristol have been getting arty under lockdown.

Rupert Ward-Lewis and his son Jack have made a film about coronavirus, while at home in south Bristol.

The short film sees clips of Jack at home, reciting words from a Covid-19 inspired piece by Hannah Gibson.

“I decided to make a film at home in Totterdown, highlighting the questions of our children’s mental health during the lockdown,” says Rupert, who has previously worked on Heartbeat as an actor, before becoming a filmmaker.

“What will our children remember about these times?”
