Bristol Film Festival has just unveiled its fourth annual packed Spring programme of events taking place at a variety of imaginative locations across the city until the end of March.
You can enjoy a full immersive Poseidon Adventure experience aboard the SS Great Britain, stiffen your upper lip to savour a 50th anniversary screening of Battle of Britain beneath the wings of Concorde, thrill to Lon Chaney’s original Phantom of the Opera in Bristol Cathedral, revisit Touching the Void in Bristol Old Vic’s recently opened Weston Studio, get all dolled up for a black tie screening of Breakfast at Tiffany’s at the RWA, and take in Ridley Scott’s ‘final cut’ of the classic Blade Runner in the appropriate surroundings of We the Curious.
Many of the festival’s most popular strands return too, including a weekend of Underground Cinema in spooky Redcliffe Caves, boozy Vintage Screenings in Averys’ historic wine cellar, a brace of after-hours events at the City Museum, and some science fiction classics at the Planetarium.
We’ve categorised everything loosely below. Follow the links for further information, screening details and tickets.
