The Wandering Cinema reveals festive programme

By Robin Askew  Thursday Dec 2, 2021

Obviously, one can never have too many screenings of the greatest Dickens adaptation ever made. This year, a charity screening of The Muppet Christmas Carol forms the centrepiece of the Wandering Cinema‘s seasonal pop-up cinema programme.

The film will be on screen at St. Stephens Church on Saturday 18 December. Just to make the event that bit more Christmassy, it’ll be preceded by carols from the Heartwood Choir in the church garden. The Secret Café will also be on hand to supply drinks and festive snacks. The event kicks off at 3pm, with the film on screen at 4pm. Admission is £10, with all proceeds going to Caring in Bristol. Go here for tickets.

A week earlier on Saturday 11, The Wandering Cinema also presents a couple of, ahem, not quite so great Christmas films under the heated canopy at Redcatch Community Gardens. You can see Elf at 3pm and Home Alone at 6pm. The cafe/bar will be serving mulled cider, veg chilli, Christmas treats, popcorn, hot drinks and all the trimmings. Go here for further information and tickets.
