Wavelength Surf Film Festival comes inland to Bristol
In September 2021, a purpose-built drive-in cinema on the clifftops overlooking the stunning Watergate Bay in Newquay played host to the inaugural Wavelength Surf Film Festival. Now, the festival is hitting the road and coming indoors, landing at Bristol’s Marble Factory this Wednesday for an evening of surf films.
The night is running as part of Blue Earth Summit, a two-day event featuring ‘actionable insight and debate from sustainable business leaders and inspirational tales from explorers, adventurers and storytellers’.

The first day of the conference is at located The Marble Factory and features multiple keynotes, panel discussions and workshops; day two is an action-packed agenda over at The Wave, where attendees are invited to participate in surfing, biking and running among other activities.
The films on show at Wavelength Film Festival – Bristol will be ‘a heady mix of all-action shorts and feature-length documentaries, representing the very best contemporary releases from the world of surf cinema’, and include the following:
Dark Hollow – starring Dion Agius, Craig Anderson & Chippa Wilson
Sambarama 3 – starring Alexandre Wolthers, Caio Teixeira, Fellipe Ditadi, Marina Carbonell and Pedro Scansetti
Water Get No Enemy – starring Damien Castera & Arthur Bourbon
Thank You Mother – Starring Torren Martyn
Attendees can also enjoy live on-stage conversation from Andrew Cotton and Gabe Davies, who will be sharing their experiences of international big wave surfing with Luke Gartside.
The event runs from 6pm-11pm, at The Marble Factory, 74-78 Avon Street, Bristol, BS2 0PX. Films start at 7pm and run on the hour.
