All Bristol lineup set for Colston Hall one-day festival

By Rhys Buchanan  Wednesday Apr 3, 2019

Colston Hall has revealed an extensive lineup of Bristol-based artists set to take over the Hall’s foyer on Saturday, April 27.

The one-day mini festival is free entry and will aim to celebrate Bristol’s incredible musical talent as well as the venue’s long-term place within the local music scene.

The lineup features stalwart noisemakers Spectres, as well as names like Rachael Dadd, Alexi King, Anna Lisa, Chaouche, Cuts, Ellie Gowers, Gabriel Templar, Haze, a Breakfast Records label showcase and many more.

SWU.FM will also present a stage featuring DJ sets from Chikaya, Sir Hiss, Neffa T, EMZ & Double, Woz and special guests.

The announcement of this line-up comes alongside news of renewed PRS Foundation funding of £20,000 for Bristol Music Trust which runs the Colston Hall.

The grant will be used to continue to create performance opportunities like the Takeover Day for local emerging acts, as well as also funding programmes like Home Grown Heat.

Todd Wills, artistic director at Colston Hall, said: “We believe that supporting emerging artists is essential to ensuring the future of both Bristol’s local music scene and the wider music industry.

“We’re thrilled to have once again secured this funding to be a PRSF talent development partner, so that we can continue to deliver the support we’ve been giving to local emerging artists for the last two years.”
