Arcadia to launch new Bristol event in 2015

By Laura Williams  Monday Dec 15, 2014

The team behind the world-famous Arcadia at Glastonbury Festival has announced its plans to launch a standalone Bristol event in 2015.

It’s sad news for BoomTown fair goers as they won’t be doing their thang at that festival this year, in order to concentrate on their new Bristol event – due to take place towards the end of the summer.

Arcadia, whose giant mechanical spider features in many a Glastonbury photo, has been taking its sensory explosions all around the world – putting on amazing shows of light, performance and good times.

Speaking from their latest event in Bangkok, they said: “We will be launching a whole new Arcadia event in Bristol next season – something we are incredibly excited about. It will be our only UK event apart from Glastonbury, and Arcadia’s entire creative, performance, technological, and mechanical arsenal will be unleashed at full throttle. 2015 is shaping up to be a seminal year.”
