Arctic Monkeys set to take to the stage in Bristol
The Arctic Monkeys’ 2023 tour will kick off at Ashton Gate Stadium on Monday – the first and only gig taking place at the BS3 venue this summer.
Tickets to see the Sheffield indie-rock band in the city sold out in less than half an hour back in September, with thousands of fans set to fill the stadium during the afternoon and evening.
Supported by The Hives and The Mysterines, the Artic Monkeys are touring their seventh studio album, The Car, at the home of Bristol City and Bristol Bears.

Jenny Hutchinson, venue director at Ashton Gate Stadium, said she felt “incredibly privileged” to be opening the UK leg of the band’s tour.

Hutchinson said: “When we have concerts here, the influx of people that we see into the city has the most incredible impact on the economy.”
“I think it shows just the scale of Ashton Gate and showcases what we can achieve.”
“We can’t wait to welcome everyone on Monday.”
“The Arctic Monkeys is our only concert this year,” she added. “But we’ve got some really great refurbishment work happening at the stadium ready to see us through to the next season.
“For 2024, we’ve got a number of events in the pipeline – it’s going to be a pretty big year. ”
