B24/7 at The Fringe: Katapulto
Of all the performances that took place on our Fringe stages, Katapulto’s was the one that really took us by surprise.
Wojtek Rusin is best known for his expansive synth-pop and quirky videos. On this occasion, instead of the deadpan vocals and nagging keyboard riffs we expected, Wojtek treated us to a semi-improvised set of instrumental electronica that was as good as anything we’ve heard from him in the past. That it was 2pm and there were children running around in front of the stage made it all the more surreal. Here’s a short excerpt from his set at The Fleece.
