Beats, Bass & Breaks Recommends:

Drone – Flux

Drone has a number of heads paying close attention since clocking his consistently vibrant sound that is on display once more in his newest track. Check out his balanced combo of icy synths atop a driving rhythmic bass and percussion on Flux.

Boycott – Kowloon Bae (Bushido Remix) [Kowloon Bae EP]

Bristol and London based duo Boycott have been lighting up the local scene for a couple of years now. Hosting day-parties regulars in the Love Saves The Day roaster and feeding the culture through their club night and streetwear and brand Sprung.

Boycott are are releasing new music with Pear Drops later this month featuring remixes from Akito, OH91 and Bushido. Check this clip taken from my show on BBC Radio Bristol.

Sir Hiss

After asserting himself as one to watch in the eyes of taste makers in Bristol and further across the UK with his custom take on instrumental grime. Whether sampling the most iconic sounds from indie and cult communities like Konami’s Metal Gear Solid or Grand Theft Auto by Rockstar Games. Or taking something nostalgic from archives and reimagining it for a grime set near you. Check out his recent upload Casablanca.
