Design our festival guide cover

By Bristol24/7  Sunday Mar 8, 2015

We’re currently beavering away on our comprehensive 2015 festival guide which will be distributed with the April edition of Bristol24/7 magazine.

The guide, which will feature hundreds of festivals from Bristol, the Westcountry and beyond, is in need of an equally awesome cover and we need your help.

We’re looking for photographers, artists and illustrators who would like to see their work featured on the cover of this 48 page A4 guide which will be distributed to 20,000 people across Bristol and read by more than 60,000 people. It will also reach up to 100,000 people online.

As well as the coverage and excellent portfolio piece, we’re offering the winning entry two VIP tickets to this year’s Grillstock festival in Bristol on July 11-12, which features live music from De La Soul and The Heavy and includes food and drink, plus two VIP tickets to see the Kaiser Chiefs at the Bristol Summer Series on June 25. The prize package alone is worth almost £300. There are two runners up prizes too – one pair of tickets for the Bristol Ska & Mod Fest at Motion on April 5 and one pair of tickets to Purbeck Valley Folk Festival in Dorset on August Bank Holiday weekend.

We’re looking for eye-catching festival photographs, paintings and illustrations which will help introduce our festival guide to readers. It doesn’t have to be music-based, although most of the festivals in the guide will be music festivals so please bear that in mind. You don’t need to worry about any of the cover text, we’re just looking for the image and will add the other bits in our end.

To enter, please email your photo/illustration to laura@bristol247.com by midday on Wednesday March 18 at the latest (make sure you read the T&Cs below).

The entries will go through a selection process with a panel of Bristol24/7 bods. The shortlisted finalists will be informed by email that afternoon and their entries uploaded to our Facebook page, Twitter account – which people will be able to vote on (like on Facebook or RT on Twitter). The entry with the most combined votes by midday on Friday March 20 will be selected to be the cover shot and the winner and runners up will be informed be announced later that day.

Good luck!
