Bristol Beacon announces opening weekend plans
Bristol Beacon have announced their reopening weekend plans as they prepare to welcome back guests after a multi-million pound refurbishment.
The redevelopment includes a brand new performance spaces including the 2,000-capacity Beacon Hall, the-500 capacity Lantern Hall and the brand new 200-capacity cellar.
On opening night on November 30, a newly commissioned work featuring an all-Bristol lineup including globally-renowned orchestral innovators Paraorchestra and electronic artist Surgeons Girl.

Paraorchestra has worked with Surgeons Girl and responding composer Oliver Vibrans to create an evolving work that promises to take audiences on an expansive journey, illuminated by audio-visual experts Limbic Cinema who employ projection-mapping and innovative lighting techniques in their work.
Promising a spectacular collision of sound and light composed in a unique collaborative process, the multi-sensory experience will light up Beacon Hall on reopening night.
The opening weekend will also see the venue throw open its doors for ‘The Housewarming’ – an all-day free party featuring communities, artists and talent gathered from right across the city through an open-call on December 2.
The weekend is rounded off on December 3 by Penguin Cafe, Arthur Jeffes’ much loved and highly acclaimed collective.
