Bristol city centre nightclub to reopen more than two years after it closed

By Issy Packer  Tuesday Jun 28, 2022

SWX has announced plans to reopen this September after 903 days of being closed.

Following Covid restrictions, the Nelson Street venue had planned to reopen in July 2021 but a few days before reopening, the building was the target of an arson attack.

Announcing the reopening on Twitter, Dominic Madden, the CEO and co-founder of Electric Group, which runs SWX, said: “Delighted to announce that our iconic SWX Bristol will reopen on 9/9/22 following the devastating arson attack.”
