Bristol DJ to lead charity walk and rave series

By Sammy Jones  Friday May 5, 2017

Bristol DJ and producer Ashley ‘Woz’ Westlake is limbering up for an epic charity walk from London to Bristol and if that wasn’t effort enough, he’ll be book-ending his adventure with a pair of parties.

The intrepid selector is taking on the ‘Where’s Woz?’ challenge in aid of two worthy initiatives: half of the proceeds will go to The Mental Health Foundation as part of Mental Health Awareness Week, and the remaining half will go towards Bristol independent radio station SWU.FM‘s studio relocation.

To launch his marathon trek, Woz will play at The Nest in Dalston on Wednesday, May 10 alongside a top-secret lineup of label-mates and other associates before walking back to his hometown across five days. The last stop will be marked by a blowout of massive proportions at the Love Inn on Stokes Croft supported by a second secret lineup of Bristol artists. These secret lineups will be revealed on the day, and each event will kick off at 10pm at their respective venues.

The walk will be a whopping 126 miles in total and will see Woz stopping at five locations, meaning he’ll be covering an impressive twenty-six miles a day.

There is a JustGiving page set up to help Woz reach his £5,000 goal. Check that out over at www.justgiving.com/crowdfunding/whereswoz. Woz will appear alongside a secret line-up at the Love Inn on Stokes Croft on Monday, May 15. Learn more and grab a ticket from SWU.FM.
