Bristol record label bows out with a bang after a decade
A record label that has been at the heart of Bristol’s house music scene for a decade is closing its doors – albeit with a bang.
Futureboogie Recordings is marking its ten year anniversary with a final party, featuring DJ Nature (Milo from Wild Bunch), at Lost Horizon – from the team behind Glastonbury’s Shangri La – on Saturday.
What started as a club night some 20 years ago went on to become one of Bristol’s most important record labels.
is needed now More than ever
The label is bowing out with the brand new Futureboogie Compilation 10².
Bristol and New York City legend DJ Nature, who will be remembered by many for his days of old in the city, also features on the compilation.
Local rising stars Manami and Ellie Stokes are among the lineup for the Futureboogie farewell. While the old guard (Dave and Christophe) will be reuniting for their first dancefloor action post-pandemic: indulging in what boss Dave Harley says looks set to be “a bit of a moment” for fans.
Futureboogie’s tenth birthday and compilation party starts at 10pm on Saturday. Tickets are available via www.headfirstbristol.co.uk/#date=2021-11-27&event_id=68441
