Bristol Sounds announces first names for 2023 lineup
Bristol Sounds has revealed the first names that will be taking to the stage in 2023 for its series of live gigs at Lloyds Amphitheatre.
Returning from June 21 to 25, the festival will see Jacob Collier and James performing to thousands of music fans in the harbour with an all-day festival headlined by the Levellers.
Two more nights of shows are yet to be announced for Bristol Sounds, which last year saw performances from First Aid Kit, Paulo Nutini and Noel Gallagher, as well as support artists.

Performing on June 22, Collier first found fame after sharing his music covers on YouTube in 2012. He went viral on TikTok in April 2022 after he transformed his audience into a mass choir and has won a Grammy for his arrangements of Flintstones and You and I. Collier’s music covers a variety of genres including classical, jazz, soul, blues and R&B.
On June 23, Manchester rock band James, with best-known singles Come Home, Sit Down, She’s a Star, will hit the stage with guests.
An day-long festival is set to take place on June 24 lead by the Levellers and featuring The Selecter, Black Grape, Peat & Diesel, Goldie Lookin Chain, Gaz Brookfield and Emily Breeze performing throughout the day, with a second acoustic stage to be revealed in the new year.

Bristol Sounds event promoter Conal Dodds of Crosstown Concerts said: “The cranes and ships provide the perfect backdrop to this festival and we’re pleased to be bringing some international talent to the city for five nights.
“We have some great support acts lined up to announce in the coming months so watch this space.”
