Bristol24/7 Ashton Court Mansion Takeover
Bristol24/7 are having a party. A big one. In a mansion.
It’s an opportunity for us to celebrate still being here after a pretty tricky couple of years, thanks to the support of our amazing members. It’s also the official launch of our brand new quarterly magazine, soundtracked by some of Bristol’s amazing bands, live acts and DJs.

is needed now More than ever
Better Business members Artspace Lifespace kindly offered us an opportunity to use the incredible Ashton Court Mansion and it seemed too good an opportunity to miss.

Ashton Court Mansion is managed by Artspace Lifespace as an arts venue. This is a very reare chance to party in it! Photo- Jay Hilme
We’ll be showcasing a mix of some heavyweight Bristol legends alongside some recent breakthrough artists and up and coming DJs.
All profit from the party will go towards our social and environmental projects including our Community Reporters and Climate and Sustainability Editor.
We’ll take a closer look at some of the acts we’ve booked over the next few weeks but here’s a taster of what to expect:
Room one:
Ishmael Ensemble
Drawing from trip hop, dub, electronica and jazz Ishmael Ensemble are one of the city’s most exciting and groundbreaking bands.
Pinch

Bristol bass music pioneer Pinch was the founder of Subloaded, the first dubstep night outside London. The Tectonic Recordings chief is one of the scene’s most innovative and respected producers and DJs. Here’s a recent mix from Pinch on Mary Anne Hobbs’ 6 Music show.
Grove
A producer, vocalist and DJ melding punk-infused dancehall, jungle, pop and bass music, Grove is making serious waves around the world right now.
Randall
A legendary drum&bass and jungle DJ and producer who’s been at the heart of the scene since its earliest days.
Muna b2b sadsugar
Two local DJs who are making a big impression are teaming up for a special b2b session.
Muna has releases on Outhouse Sounds, 40GRIT Records and Taipan Trax, and runs Patchworks, a female and gender non-conforming event/album series.
sadsugar is co-founder of Longthrow Radio and resident on Noods.
We’re expecting a high energy set encompassing breaks, juke, footwork, UKG, ghetto house and all the weird stuff in between.
Papa Moomin
One of Bristol’s best loved and most versatile party DJs. Usually found at The Attic and in venues all over town, Papa Moomin always gets the party going.
Room two takeovers from Bristol rising Drum & Bass label Exodus Records, soul-infused world grooves from Brakery, and energetic silly vibes from Bristol’s latest garage and breaks sensation Belters.
As well as a cracking music line up there’ll be performers and visuals from James Bragg.
