Craig David and Ne-Yo among first acts confirmed for Ashton Gate show

The first acts have been confirmed for the Ashton Gate Presents BS3 show.

Craig David, Ne-Yo and DJ Spoony will be heading to the home of Bristol City and Bristol Bears on June 22, with tickets going on sale on Friday.

Stadium bosses say that “promoting our own show is a massive step for Ashton Gate and it is important to us that we present a lineup fitting of this brand new event, one unlike anything we have ever done at the stadium before”.

Craig David is billed as ‘Craig David Presents TS5’ which began as as a pre-party at his penthouse suite in Miami and sees him singing, MCing and DJing simultaneously.

DJ Spoony will present his Garage Classical show outside of London for the first time alongside acts including So Solid Crew; following gigs including a sold-out show at the Royal Albert Hall which sees him reworking classic garage tunes with an orchestral twist.

Ashton Gate venue director, Jenny Hutchinson, said: “We are delighted to announce our first three artists performing at Ashton Gate Presents BS3…

“Ne-Yo is one of the biggest R&B artists of all time and will perform at Ashton Gate Presents BS3 following his sell-out US tour last year, while Craig David and DJ Spoony are two of the most influential names in the UK music industry over the last two decades.

“We are really excited to see what they bring to Bristol and with another seven artists still to be revealed, ‘Ashton Gate Presents BS3’ promises to be an unmissable event for all music fans.”

Seven artists are still to be confirmed with Ashton Gate Presents BS3 organisers promising “ten incredible performances from internationally renowned artists taking place back-to-back across two stages in a first for the stadium”.

Ticket are prices are from £40, with pre-registration tickets going on sale on Thursday before the general sale begins on Friday. For more information, visit www.bs3live.com
