By Lowie Trevena  Friday May 1, 2020

Bristol A Cappella are part of the ongoing Bristol24/7 Creative Lockdown series, showcasing how people in Bristol have been getting arty under lockdown.

A barbershop chorus with members throughout Bristol have sung a close harmony a cappella rendition of Take That’s Shine.

Bristol A Cappella, whose 30 members normally rehearse in Clifton, has taken singing online during lockdown.

Members of the chorus recorded themselves in their own homes singing Shine by Take That.

“This arrangement of Shine is one of our favourite songs to sing,” says David Crabbe, one of the members. “We thought it might spread some happiness for others struggling with the current situation.”

The chorus have plenty of ideas for more lockdown covers.
