Creative Lockdown: Bristol Cathedral Primary School

By Amy Grace  Thursday Jun 18, 2020

The teachers at Bristol Cathedral Primary School are part of the ongoing Bristol24/7 Creative Lockdown series, showcasing how people in Bristol have been getting arty under lockdown.

Along with adapting to a new normal and teaching online, teachers at Bristol Cathedral Primary School have managed to squeeze in some recording time to compile a music video. Their rendition of ‘One Day More’ from the hit musical Les Misérables features a twist on the lyrics from the original song.

The lyrics reflect the lives of the teachers and pupils during lockdown, singing of “staying connected on the phone” and reminiscing about “fish and chips on Thursday”.

The video concludes with a heartfelt message from Head Teacher Sara Yarnold, announcing that she is proud at how hard the pupils and teachers are working during this challenging time.
