Creative lockdown: John Hobday and John Ozoroff

By Lowie Trevena  Monday Apr 20, 2020

John Hobday and John Ozoroff are part of the ongoing Bristol24/7 Creative Lockdown series, showcasing how people in Bristol have been getting arty under lockdown.

Two musicians from Henleaze have come together to write a song “to try and help the population of Bristol and beyond in lockdown keep fit”.

John Hobday and John Ozoroff have been friends for 40 years and spend their retirement writing songs together. Their latest tune, The Bristol Stomp has nods to the city’s accent and its people throughout.

“John (Ozoroff) rang me and asked me to write the lyrics for our version of The Bristol Stomp,” says John Hobday. “We haven’t done a video; we were hoping that everyone would do their own version and maybe share.”

You can listen to the song above and send your music video to johnnyhobday@gmail.com.
