Creative lockdown: Red Ray and The Reprobates

By Lowie Trevena  Monday Apr 20, 2020

Red Ray and The Reprobates are part of the ongoing Bristol24/7 Creative Lockdown series, showcasing how people in Bristol have been getting arty under lockdown.

Red Ray and The Reprobates, a self-defined “rough-around-the-edges, country and rock-n-roll group”, have put together a lockdown music video for their fans.

“Obviously with current lockdown restrictions musicians have been hit hard with a lack of income and cancellations across the board, it leaves many of us who have been furloughed from our day jobs stuck inside with limited options for creative output for our fans,” says Cameron, the band’s lead guitarist.

“Live streaming is popular but we thought we would try something a little different.”

The music video for Back on Track is a satirical video using “only top notch video editing software, extravagant props and a cast of only the finest actors”.

The band are challenging other musicians to create a music video in their homes and tag their creations #lockdownmusicvideo.
