By Lowie Trevena  Wednesday Apr 8, 2020

Tanya Hazell is part of the ongoing Bristol24/7 Creative Lockdown series, showcasing how people in Bristol have been getting arty under lockdown.

Local musician Tanya Hazell has written and recorded a song inspired by the coronavirus pandemic.

Tanya, who lives in Bedminster Down and works for Zion Community Art Space, wrote the song to raise money for the NHS.

Hold On is an “interpretation and message of hope”, the song reminds people to hold on, make a difference and support key worker heroes.

“I was inspired to write this song during lockdown as a kind of reflection of what we are all going through globally and I wanted to send out a positive message – that even though this is now, it won’t be forever,” says Tanya.

The song is currently available to stream via Bandcamp, along with her entire discography. The song is available to buy for £1, with all money raised going to the NHS.

“When things are like this, we have to rely on each other to get us through,” says Tanya.
