Diverse Artist Network to host a day of events to connect creatives

By Issy Packer  Wednesday Nov 2, 2022

Becoming a CIC in 2020, Diverse Artists Network is a collective of musicians and artists who meet to share best practice, and discuss the challenges and opportunities we face in the arts and culture industries.

Taking place on November 29, All Things Music will be bringing a programme full of events to Bristol Beacon for the day.

It will give attendees the opportunity to connect with the Musicians Union, music venues across the South West, festivals, funders, radios, independent artists, and supporters of the music world.

The aim of the event is to discuss key triumphs as well as issues concerning diversity and representation in the music industry.

The day will end with people having the opportunity to take part in a DAN jam session and are encouraged to bring along their instruments to play along.

Vandna, the director of DAN, commented: “DAN seeks to foster empowering discussion within the culturally varied arts sector in order to boost representation in mainstream arts offering by bringing together funders, venues, promoters, and artists.

“DAN has played a major part in linking grassroots artists to mainstream arts as well as creating platforms for the artists.”

Tickets for the event are available here.
