Famous acid house artist teams up with Minirigs for Bristol debut of live show
Manchester’s acid house originator A Guy Called Gerald is teaming up with Minirigs for the Bristol debut of his live Acid Jam Show.
Gerald Simpson AKA A Guy Called Gerald is best known for laying the foundations of the UK rave scene with his smash hit Voodoo Ray rapidly rose up the UK charts in 1988 and kickstarted Manchester’s Acid House movement.
This will be the musicians first Bristol appearance in five years.

Taking place on November 11 at The Jam Jar, the live show is in collaboration with local promoter Klub Blancmange in support of a brand new product launched by Minirigs.
Born in Bristol, the Minirigs team have been building soundsystems since the year 2000, their origins firmly rooted in the UK rave scene.
Minirigs will be proudly demonstrating the sound capabilities of their new Doppler range, a stackable active speaker that can be linked up to pump some serious volume.
The event will be the first time these speakers can be heard by the public.
