First full band show for Phaeleh

By Laura Williams  Friday Aug 14, 2015

Bristol producer Phaeleh will play a special intimate show for Chiverin at The Louisiana on Sept 29 – in his first full band live show ever.

Matt Preston, the man behind Phaeleh cut his teeth in the late Noughties in the world of dubstep and has a small cache of releases under his belt.

Since his debut release in 2008, Phaeleh has developed an inimitable style of cinematic electronic music, which meanders between the shifting tempos and timbres of dubstep, garage, electronica and house music.

His last two long play releases have cemented his position as one of the most exciting new producers to emerge from his hometown; Bristol. Phaeleh’s downbeat and heartfelt sound honours the tradition of Bristolian fore fathers Massive Attack, Smith & Mighty and Portishead, with a fresh outlook and penchant for sub sonics.

With coverage on BBC Radio 1, BBC 6 Music, Kiss, Rinse and XFM under his belt and props from the likes of Skream, N-Type, Scuba and Kryptic Minds, this is a rare opportunity to see Phaeleh (pronounced ‘fella’) in a very cosy environment – prepare to be blown away.

Phaeleh plays The Louisiana on Sept 29 as part of a Chiverin event – support from Memotone, with AV show downstairs from Kayla Painter. More info and tickets, available here.
