Hollyoaks star directs music video for local hip hop artist

Hollyoaks star Paul Danan is managing and sponsoring Bristol spoken word and hip hop artist Phil Mac.

The pair met following an encounter in a dry house, as they both navigate the path to recovery following challenges with alcohol and drugs.

Phil Mac is an artist who is heavily influenced by the city’s music scene, focusing on hip hop, trip hop, and drum ‘n’ bass.

The artist performed at Recovery Festival at Trinity Centre earlier this year and his singles have been aired on BBC Radio Bristol.

Paul Danan directs the music video for Mac’s track Follow which highlights themes of friendship, resilience, and the indomitable human spirit.

Follow was released through Stray Cat Records on December 1.
