How to help Bristol’s independent venues – #saveourvenues
The past few days has seen the Music Venue Trust launch a nationwide campaign to save independent venues, their aim is to secure and support grassroots venues across the country. The #saveourvenues campaign aims at raising money for these venues as they are currently at risk of closure.
So far, two Bristol venues have signed up to the initiative. Over in Bath, Moles, Chapel Arts Centre and Komedia all join the scheme.
Exchange is the Bristol’s first community owned live music venue, they have reached out to ask for help during these trying times. To donate, visit: https://www.crowdfunder.co.uk/exchangebristol

The Louisiana have also joined the initiative, writing on their Crowdfunder “Our venue faces closure because of having to close our doors, due to Covid-19. Our insurance company tell us we’re not covered, even though we have Business Interruption Insurance. Your donations will be used to help cover running costs – Rent, Utility bills, maintenance.
If we hit our target, and we can prevent the closure of our venue, everything above the amount we need will be donated to the Music Venue Trust GMV Crisis Fund to protect other venues just like ours, right across the country.”
