Kid Carpet marks release of new single ‘I AM A DJ’ with live shows
Kid Carpet is Bristol’s own, self-styled “witchdoctor of wonky, leftfield euphoria”, known and loved for making catchy, big hearted tunes – originally from toy instruments and old school Casio keyboards.
In the last decade, he has been largely focused on making inventive family theatre shows featuring himself alongside a cast of homemade characters – not least The Noisy Animals (now custodians of their own YouTube channel).
Now, he is recording new music once again, and is soon set to release his first album in 15 years – Icarus D’Icarus, which he describes as being full of “angry and joyful punk pop hits”.

Taken from the album, Kid Carpet – aka Ed Patrick – is set to release new single I AM A DJ, which he calls “a ludicrous indie-pop-party banger”, and his politically overt B Side, Department of Shit Ideas, on Tuesday.
Keep an eye out on his social media channels and on YouTube for the I AM A DJ video.
To mark the occasion, he is hosting a livestream party on Thursday, and will also be playing a live show at the Gallimaufry on December 12, with support from Gavin Osborn.

Meanwhile, young families eager to see Kid Carpet return to the stage need wait only a little longer.
He returns to the stage in Bristol this Christmas for a two-week run of his unique remix of the traditional seasonal story: Noisy Nativity.
Noisy Nativity is at the Wardrobe Theatre from December 15-29. For tickets and more information, visit www.thewardrobetheatre.com
