Massive Attack gig tickets go on sale
Ben Holderness had set his alarm for 4.30am on Friday in order to be one of the first people in the queue to get tickets for Massive Attack’s homecoming show on the Downs.
In the end, Ben (pictured above, far right) woke up at 3.50am and walked the short distance from his home in St Paul’s to Idle Hands record shop on Stokes Croft where tickets go on sale at 8am.
is needed now More than ever
“I just wanted to absolutely guarantee I would get my tickets,” said the 41-year-old asbestos consultant, sat on the floor outside the shop with a piece of cardboard, bottle of water, banana and umbrella.
“I didn’t want to chance the online sale and I have got some mates who are desperate to see them.
“Massive Attack aren’t just the biggest band to ever come out of Bristol, they are huge globally, they capture the sense of an era and they seem to capture Bristol for some reason.”
Tickets to personal callers only go on sale at both Idle Hands and Bristol Ticket Shop at 8am on Friday.
